Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
Welcome to Srinagar, the Lake City. Upon landing at Srinagar Airport/TRC, kick off your ‘Exotic Kashmir’ journey. You will be escorted to your accommodation, either a Houseboat or a Hotel. After lunch, savor a romantic shikara ride on Dal Lake. Enjoy an overnight stay at the Houseboat/Hotel.
Day 2: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar
Travel to Gulmarg (60kms/2hrs drive), a scenic spot in Kashmir renowned for its skiing facilities and the world’s highest 18-hole natural golf course. Revel in the panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. You may also opt for a Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Kongdoori & Marry Shoulder. Return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 3: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar
Set out for a day trip to Sonamarg, the ‘meadow of gold’. The swiftly flowing Sindh River here is a favorite for trout and mahseer fishing during the summer. Consider a pony ride to visit nearby glaciers, enjoying the snowy landscape (at an additional cost). Head back to your Hotel in Srinagar for the night.
Day 4: Srinagar – Pahalgam
Post breakfast, check out and proceed to Pahalgam (90 Kms/2hrs), affectionately known as the Valley of Shepherds. On the way, stop to see the Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins, and Anantnag sulphur springs. Pahalgam sits at an altitude of 2440 meters and is a favored location for the Indian Film Industry, offering splendid views of the valley. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 5: Return to Srinagar | Srinagar Local Sightseeing | Mughal Gardens
Morning exploration of Pahalgam, followed by a drive back to Srinagar for an overnight at Houseboat/Hotel. Post breakfast, tour the celebrated Mughal gardens of Srinagar – Nishat Bagh, Shankarcharya Temple, Hazratbal Shrine, and Shalimar Bagh, all situated along the shores of Dal Lake. Nishat Bagh, the larger garden, boasts a significant plantation of Chinar trees at its top terrace. Both gardens feature a symmetrical layout with central water channels and fountains in terraced gardens. Spend the night at the Hotel in Srinagar.
Day 6: Departure with Cherished Memories
Enjoy one last breakfast before your transfer to the Airport/TRC for your departing flight, taking with you fond memories of your beautiful journey through Kashmir.
