Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Gateway to the Himalayas
Upon landing at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport, prepare for one of the most stunning aerial views in the world, featuring mountains such as K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum. A representative will greet you upon arrival and escort you to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is for acclimatizing, with a welcome beverage available. In the evening, take the opportunity to visit Leh Palace, Shanty Stupa, and the local market before returning to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: Exploring Leh’s Monastic Wonders
Set out today to discover the monastic treasures of Leh, including visits to Hemis Gompa, Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, 3 Idiots Rancho School, and Sindhu Ghat. After touring these sites, enjoy some free time in the evening to explore Leh further on your own. Have dinner and then overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Pangong Lake Expedition
Begin the day with an early breakfast before driving to Pangong Lake via Changla Pass. The journey takes you through incredible landscapes, ascending to 14,000 feet, where the stunning views of the blue Pangong Lake await. This lake gained fame from its appearance in the movie “3 Idiots.” After enjoying time by the lake, head back to Leh for the night.
Day 4: Journey to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Post breakfast, depart for a picturesque drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, known as the highest drivable road in the world. The route offers enchanting views and a chance to experience local village life nestled between the Karakoram and Ladakh mountain ranges. Stay overnight in a camp or hotel in Nubra Valley.
Day 5: Nubra Valley to Leh – Camel Ride and Monastery Visit
In the morning, explore Hunder and possibly enjoy a camel ride through the sand dunes. Continue your return to Leh, stopping at Diskit to visit its famous Buddhist Monastery. Marvel at the unique juxtaposition of Thar Desert-like dunes against the backdrop of rocky Ladakh mountains. Complete the journey back to Leh in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.
Day 6: Departure from Leh – Farewell to the Himalayan Retreat
Conclude your journey with a heartfelt farewell as you are transferred to the Domestic Airport for your departure flight, leaving behind the mesmerizing views of Leh.
